I agree with pretty much every word. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who liked this episode! I've seen a firestorm of criticism that leaves me baffled, but I loved Warrior. I think that makes me a confirmed Clark fan. Just as I suspected! :)
And when he tells Alec, "not because I have to, but because I choose to." This Alec / Clark scene is probably my favorite of the entire ep
This was my favorite as well. To hear Clark talk about his reasons for taking on the role of hero, and the challenges he faces and struggles to overcome, was an inspiration. And Tom's delivery of those lines took my breath away. He is Superman! I love this scene so much I want to marry it and have its babies. ♥
Naturally, Clark loved Lana dearly, but I thank the writers here for making Clark look smart by realizing and acknowledging the aforementioned turbulence of the past relationship.
I appreciated so much that Clark mentioned this. That relationship lasted so long, and was such a huge part of his life, it didn't make sense for him to be completely over it so quickly. And now we have good reasons for both of them to take their time, which is better all around, for the characters and the show.
I don't know, but if this scene is any indication, it seems they might be going the "fuck-buddy" route here. Or, I could be wrong - would SV do that?
I think that's exactly what they're going for, and I'm a little surprised to see Smallville go there. But I'll reserve judgment until I see how it all plays out. I did think that scene was hot! :)

I've been reading about this on other lj' and I'm totally baffled by this. I'm so oblivious to everything fandom, and have been for a while now (only sticking to my flist) that I don't get a sampling of what's going on outside. Which is a good thing, for the most part! Heh. But in this case, I am genuinely curious as to why it's getting ::so much:: criticism. I can understand maybe not liking something about it here or there, that's perfectly understandable, but a shitstorm? For an ep that at least tried its damned best to do justice to all the characters?
//And now we have good reasons for both of them to take their time, which is better all around, for the characters and the show.//
Definitely.
//I did think that scene was hot! :)//
For the first time ever I senses chemistry between these two, but I don't know - I mean I'm trying to keep an open mind and all but all I keep thinking is 'what's the point?'
