Well, looks like we're in agreement. Again. What a shock! LOL
I really do appreciate that this episode was necessary to explain the whole Kandorian thing, and to set up a more personal component to Clark vs Zod. But I guess I just wonder if that couldn't be achieved, while still having an episode that had lots of Clark in the present.
I think I just groaned when they went for the obvious Jor-El/Zod, Clark/Lex parallels. At this point, I just expect the good guys to get blamed for the poor bad guys. Its tedious, but its the SV way.
I so wanted Clark to say something snarky when Oliver said he had his back. Either the writers are deeply oblivious (probably!), or they meant that to be ironic. As for Oliver did in Doomsday, I'm never letting it go. Never! I'll be gumming my food in a nursing home, and still chattering on about how wrong that scene was. LOL
I'm not even sure why Chloe bothered with an apology since she obviously didn't mean it. If I was Clark, I'd be scanning my house with my x-ray vision looking for cameras, but he sure as hell can't trust Chloe to remove them.
I think all this Zod stuff pre-dated Davis. But maybe this explains why he made Davis.

I'll probably be right there with you.

That makes sense. But then, didn't the wife die as well? Was he married to someone else prior to Faora? I can't recall if I remember anything about this from the comics.
