So, it sounds like you're driving in the middle lane with me. Lots of huge squeeeeing, and some hating. Not too many of us middle-of-the-roaders.
The Chloe/Stuart stuff was a really big surprise to me too. But something about it was very fun, and Chloe seemed full of life again. And I like the actor playing Stuart. He brings a spark to the role.
I do think this ep played so, so much better then the sides. Instead of Lois going out of her way to make Clark jealous, it seemed more like professional competitiveness to me. And that was great. And at no point did any of the banter get even a tinge of mean-spiritedness. SV has so rarely got this formula right, but here they definitely did.
The Lois/Oliver stuff is just so contrived to me, because I don't find it believable at all when Oliver barely seemed to remember her name last season. I just don't find his resurgence of feelings at all real. But I did really like that Lois shut him down, in no uncertain terms, and was upfront about her feelings for Clark. That was a nice touch.
Chlark is still very off. Maybe its my bias, but I really feel like its AM. But I don't fault her, because I'm not even sure what they're relationship is supposed to be at this point.
I may have a lot of reservations about this ep, but it ranks above every episode this season except for Rabid. I just wish Clark had more screentime.

::nods:: I think one of the things this season has managed to get right is these recurring characters in Emil and Stuart. Now if only we could get MM back in the picture.

Oh, yes. I'm so relieved about that. And very happy to be proven wrong about my initial reservations wrt the sides.

'Rabid' is up there for me too. I think I might prefer 'Metallo' to 'Crossfire' though, but they both appeal in different ways I suppose.
