I agree that both were reaching ridiculous levels of WTFery, but the Jimmy thing is just so beyond even the realm of insane, I can't quite get past it.
Agree also on the musical montages. There have been so many amazing ones over the seasons. If I were to go back and choose favorites I think it'd be a helluva long list, heh.
The results are very interesting this year. Do check them out. And I couldn't be happier for the TW/Clark wins.
'Identity' deserved Best Ep. Hell, I'd name a few more eps even, actually that I thought were better quality overall than 'Legion.' I think the fanboy vote probably had a good deal to do with it, and ultimately personal preferences I suppose. Evidently that many people really did view 'Legion' as the strongest of the season.
I was surprised that Legion won, and especially when Geoff Johns won for best writer. But I figure its the unanimity of the fanboys, versus the 'normal' fans being fairly split amongst our favorites. It's funny, because I thought Instinct would win.
I also think the phone call scene from Stiletto won just because it was so iconic and got the fanboy vote. I didn't even think it was the best scene from that episode.

Oh, that's one of my favorite eps of last season. I didn't think it had a chance in hell though, heh. I figured it'd be a race between 'Legion', 'Identity' and perhaps something like 'Bloodline' or 'Bride' maybe.

Agreed. The scene had iconic written all over it. And it was a very nice scene but as you point out and I agree, it wasn't even the best scene from the ep itself, let alone the entire season.

The closing montage from "Bride" was very powerful, agreed. This show tends to do musical montages well.
