Whoo. Finals are over, and I'm glad.
Thank you for birthday wishes! They made me really happy yesterday. I had a mostly quiet day; went into work, celebrated my birthday with Claire's mother (who shares my initials and birthday), and then came home to seafood heaven. Salmon and crab and corn chowder *_*
We ate this cake. I had it last time I was at Salty's, and this cake might be in my top five. It was FABULOUS. It's not nearly as rich as it seems, and putting a little currant jelly in the filling is genius. You have a mouthful of sweet, and then pow! It's suddenly bitter, and complex.
(I also think it's pretty fabulous they put their recipes on their website)
I did chop my hair off again today, but I'm too tired to go find my camera for a photo. Uhh...it's a more Asian version of Anna Wintour's hair...?
