OMG. I love my Korean teacher. She is amazing (and probably the best Korean teacher in the U.S.)

She has to be in her 50's, and yet whenever she e-mails our class she signs with the most adorable emoticons, or korean onomatopoeia. It's just such a kid thing to do, but adorable.

Then we have the days were we spend 15 minutes talking about Korean Pop Star Rain's new album, Rainism, which came out last week. My classmates feel that it's "really, really good." Now, I have nothing particularly against Rain, but I just prefer him served with a side of Colbert.

And then there's that I'm called one of the "triplets." Because I sit with two friends and we all look weirdly alike. Two of us have the same (asian) haircut, and the third and I have the same hair color. We're all the same height. And, apparently, we all have the same "fear in our eyes" when she calls on us to speak.

But what really makes me love her is the e-mail she just sent us. It's a link. To a blog. With a cat. Speaking Korean. The fact that she thought this was important enough to send to the entire Korean department is amazing.

(the cat, btw, "says" stuff like "do you speak Korean?" "do you understand?" )

And for a pimp! Join Passagesss It's a fantastic community started partially by the lovely Katrina, where you post your favorite passages from books. I've already got five or six books that I need to read. Hurrah for teh readings!
