You know what pisses me off?
Ignorant people. I keep hearing from various Republicans that the "Democrats are going to raise taxes." UGHHHHHH. Yes--Democrats like taxes, but do you know why? So we can PAY for things in the country. Taxes are the means upon which to pay for things. Like medicare. Social security. Welfare. Education. Transportation. Even the Goddamn military. If we don't raise the taxes we're NOT going to get rid of the deficit. You know what that's going to do to our economy? SCREW US OVER. It's not going to be today. Or, tomorrow. We don't know when. But it will happen. This doesn't even include that the taxes Democrats want to raise are on the richest people in the country. The fucking commercials advertise "a single mother's taxes are going to be raised by $1000 by the Democrats." Yeah, come on. You know you're only explaining the 1 in ten-thousand mothers who this is going to happen to, if even that.
