Arrived in Korea safely. Thanks for the wishes guys : )

I've been in orientation for the last week, and it's been much more fun than I thought it would. There is Cute Canadian Boy on the scene (from Toronto, no less; I feel so international), and handfuls of friends from Australia, South Africa and...Seattle. Unfortunate for me (and him) he's working in Icheon, while I'm going to be down in Gwangju. It's a three hour train ride, but, we'll try and make it work. If not, no big deal. Easy come, easy go.

Seoul is kind of amazing. There are bars and restaurants themed for anything and everything. We found a bar devoted to Banana Yoshimoto the other night, although it was full when we tried to go in. We've also found a Canadian bar (Cute Canadian Boy was very enthusiastic about this), called (I'm not joking), The Maple Bar. It was situated right next to a Texas-themed bar. There's also the Bau House Cafe, where the owners have roughly 20 dogs running around for people to play and cuddle with. I'm particularly excited to go here, but no one is interested in joining me :(

Coffee here is weak, unless you go to Starbucks. And if you go there, it's $5 for a tall cup of coffee. It kills me, but I've been spending it daily because I've been so jet-lagged. I'm going to stop next week. I'm going to stop next week. I'm going to stop next week.

My roommate here is hilarious, and adorable. She's Korean-Australian, and the most enthusiastic person I've ever met. She woke me up at four this morning so that I could call my family *headdesk* I should be livid, but somehow she has gotten away with it. She was very T&E last night, and declared that we were meant to be roommates because, "we watch dramas, are girls, and we both play the Sims." LOL. If that's not a bond, I don't know what is.

Tomorrow I head down to Gwangju, meet my school and move into my apartment (?). Hopefully I'll be observing at my school for the rest of the week, but I'm not entirely sure. Cute Canadian Boy found out his school this afternoon, and that's his situation, but it could be different for me.

As soon as I get situated, I'll move things to a proper blog for traveling.

I hope things with everyone else is well!

Theophilus London-Humdrum Town. I've been listening to this song on repeat for the last couple of days. It's amazing, and oodles better than Kid Cudi.
