It feels like forever that I haven't updated my LJ, when it's just been 2 days. haha. Eek. 2 days with my Friends Page is not good either. I must catch up and collect icons! haha.
Wednesday night I made dinner. After updating my LJ, I went into the kitchen to marinate some chicken drumsticks. My hand got totally numb because I was touching the drumsticks and it was ice cold. It totally doesn't help that I would dump my hands in warm water right after. Let's just say my hand was quite weak that night. >.<
I also prepared a stir fry with pork, eggplant, and some bok choy-type leaf vegetable. It went okay, I guess, since no one got sick...I hope. haha.
Michelle came over for dinner and also to make some brownies for her roomie's birthday. She is quite early on the celebration, but I guess she goes by the saying, "The earlier, the better." Extra-made brownies were delicious. Thanks, Michelle.
Wednesday also was a night of learning about the effects of alcohol. Oh dear. There are times when I wish I wasn't living in an on-campus apartment. We are required to take this "class" which totally reminded me of online traffic school where we get tortured by lame videos, crappy graphics, and lengthy text to educate us about the wonders of alcohol. A survey was also done, and I must say, it was quite entertaining to go through the survey, but of course, there must also be a test at the end. A passing grade is 80% and if you don't reach it, you have to keep retaking until you do. Fortunately for me, I did it only once, but Tiff, Michelle, and Eileen were having a blast doing it over and over again. LOL. Wednesday night, or shall I say, Thursday morning, ended with watching the couple talks from AADBSK2.
I woke up on Thursday around 11:30 AM with no worries about classes. My next door roomie's music was busting loud, and apaprently it woke Tiff up, but I woke up on my accord. No ghetto music can disturb my sleep, and besides, I got Bolero and Kiss the Baby Sky firing back. Add a little Gee, and it's game over. haha. Keeding, kinda~ :P
But yes, I woke up around 11:30 AM and saw that 6 members of SNSD(minus Taeyeon, Sooyoung!, and Yuri) appeared on MBC every1's Idol Army with 2PM. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to watch some artist interaction. It's quite interesting to see 2PM go all fangirly with the girls. They had signs and a couple of them were running around the girls, promoting the signs. Of course, I'm a sucker for couple selection stuff. I was quite surprised with Seohyun + Junsu and Wooyoung + Tiffany. Of course, Yoona has guys fighting over her. She's quite pretty. Jealous. Taek + Sunny was unexpected, but adorable. I'm quite drawn to Taek and Junho, so yeah, I'm highly amused by everything they do. It ended with Yoona being fought over by Chansung and Khun. It'll continue next week. And yes, I watched it without subs. haha.
After watching it, I emerged from my room to get ready for a late lunch. I had a feeling we'll be going out, and I had Michelle choose a place to go. She had a craving for french onion soup, and so she chose a place in South Coast. It was a nice choice, since I haven't been there in forever. Also, my mom mentioned some cosmetics giveaway shindig because of a certain lawsuit, and so I felt like it was killing two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, the cosmetics was all done or sold out, something like that. The cafe that we went to was called Vie de France. Tiff, Michelle, and I all ordered the same thing, a french onion soup and a sandwich deal. Tiff and Michelle got a chicken salad sandwich, while mine was called The Californian which had ham, cheese, avocado, and grass. haha. Okay, technically the grass is called alfalfa sprouts, but yeah....it reminds me of Biology 5C labs, where we had to count the seeds so they can grow. LAME. Overall, it was a very delicious meal. I tested my lactose tolerancy, and surprisingly, the numerous cheese encounters didn't harm me.
We wandered a bit around South Coast, but seriously, can we really buy anything in this mall? LOL. A freaky Tiffany & Co. guard was looking from the inside of the store, but I mistook him for a mannequin. We ended up in Nordstrom where I browsed around looking for sweaters. Yeah, let's just say I worked my Discover card again. Damn. I am satisfied with my purchases, it'll just hurt my bank account, especially when I should be saving.
We also checked out the Costa Mesa Mitsuwa to see if they have the Boss Coffee that I need to complete my Christmas gifts that I haven't given yet. Unfortunately they didn't, but we also browsed around the bookstore area, and I encountered a Gackt fan. haha. She was gushing how pretty he was. It amused me. There were several magazines that featured Tohoshinki, but none of them tempted me. I think I was quite subdued after purchasing stuff at Nordstrom. LOL.
I was curious about a store that sold Kpop merchandise in the heart of Little Saigon, so we headed over there, without really knowing where it was. Michelle had kind of an inkling, and we asked help from our friend Trisha who was from there. We ended up finding it, but there really wasn't anything at that place. It was kind of a disappointment, but I did try some iced coffee that was supposed to keep me up like no tomorrow. It kind of did, in a way, it kept me up while driving, that's for sure. Michelle and Tiff had the sugar cane drink which was like calamansi juice, just with a different texture. We ended up eating dinner at this $1.99 Vietnamese food place that we passed by while looking for the plaza that the store was at. Go figure that I didn't really order a meal for $1.99, but for $2.75, and it was still quite a pleasant meal. I mean, in total, I paid $5 with Thai Iced Tea. I'm content with that. Man, what I bought is really haunting my post purchases. haha.
We got home at around 8:30 PM, and along the way, I remembered that I had Calculus homework due at midnight. Thankfully it got extended to noon the next day because of some technical problems with WebAssign, but I still did it. I started studying for my Japanese test as well.
I started contemplating too about my status in life. I don't know, I guess I haven't been evaluating my life thoroughly, and sometimes I feel like I'm not taking it seriously enough, but I do hope what I'm doing is of proper way. I'm the type of person who lets life takes its course by itself. I guess you can say I live life through destiny. It sounds cheesy, and I have no idea if that is practical, but for now, I'm content with it.
I hung out with Tiff in her room for quite some time after giving up on studying for Japanese. We had the ceviche that my mom made as a midnight snack, while I showed her the episode of 2PM and SNSD. Yes, I'm even pimping out the show. Well, not to the extent when I'll put it in my LJ. I'll restrain. haha.
Eileen came back from frat activities, if you can call it that. She went to a strip club to help celebrate a fellow member's birthday. She told us her account of it. It's quite interesting to listen about. Also, she entertained us with her numerous Changmin gifs. ROFL. Oh, that one gif of Changmin during the performance of Rising Sun. XD
After that, I just went to sleep.
I woke up today, totally missing Physics and Calculus. Is this something new? Nah. haha. I just got ready for my Japanese class, where I had a test. Before I left, I woke up Eileen, who was dozing off while she should be getting ready for class. Yesterday, before we headed out to South Coast, it was quite gloomy in Riverside, but in South Coast it was quite sunny. So, today, it was gloomy, but I didn't realize the wet floor. So, yeah, it was drizzling. What a change in atmosphere. haha. The Japanese test wasn't too bad until it hit the kanji portion that I didn't know was part of it. Darn. Yeah, let's just say I didn't do too well on the kanji portion. There's always next time. *sigh*
I got back to my apartment and had leftover dinner from Wednesday for lunch. I chatted up with Eileen a bit. We watched a couple of videos, and I showed her the Pinky magazine scans. I think I might just get this magazine because I really like their cute expressions in it. Besides, I like looking through the Pinky magazine in general. Total plus if it comes with a free goodie. haha.
We left Riverside around 3:30 PM, and the drive was quite slow and safe because the road was wet because of the scattered drizzle. I wasn't too sleepy, I had music blasting and I was singing along to it. haha. I got back safe and sound to my brother showing me an interesting parody of SNSD by his school's Kpop club.
When I saw the "plane", I LOL-ed so hard. Oh dear, who would've thought to use a supermarket cart? A very nice effort from them. I wonder what people thought while they were filming this, since it seemed to have been filmed in an apartment complex. haha.

I'm pretty much chilling the night away. I downloaded the subbed version of Boys Before FlowersI had some yummy sopas, which is basically chicken noodle soup, Filipino style. So good. It's something that is appropriate for the weather. I love my mommy's cooking. <3
I leave you with a couple of videos to check out, if time permits. =)
An artist named Xion did a nice little cover snippet of Gee. I did wish Kangin didn't join in and Taeyeon would have taken it a bit more seriously. I think the harmonization would have beenbetter that way. =/

Here's a snippet of Junsu talking like a baby during their Kobe fanmeeting. I have no idea why, and I have no idea what's going on, but his voice is adorable. <3

Here's another snippet of Junsu from the Kobe fanmeeting. He's singing Sakura by Naotaro Moriyama. Too bad it was a short. He seems to have forgotten the lyrics. Hey, anytime I hear Junsu sing, it's all good. ^^

I always forget that even if Kpop artists debut before or after one another, a person that may have debuted 2 years ago may be older or younger than a person that has debuted just this year. Take for example Jonghyun and Seungri. Or, as Eileen likes to call him, Kermie and Seungri. LOL. They're the same age, heck, Jonghyun is even older than him, but to me, I would have thought it was Seungri if I didn't bother to look up the correct facts. haha. I like interactions like these. They seem to be quite friendly. If you can be more that to Junsu no, Seungri? XD

I felt like being nostalgic, so I came across 5ive's Until the Time Is Through. This is one of my favorite songs from them. I remember we would divide parts so we can sing to it when we were kids. I never wanted to be Ritchie....I think that was his name. I was all for Scott. Oh dear. Those were the days. haha. Good times, yo.

So yes, this concludes my entry. I've been working on this for quite some time. haha. Thank goodness I'm done. :P
