Aziraphale sank his head into his hands. "I know," he mumbled, voice muffled. "But I wish it were."
He felt the heat of Crowley as he stepped nearer and slid onto the couch beside him. "D'you really?" the demon murmured, sliding two fingers to lift Aziraphale's slightly-trembling chin.
"Y-yes. Why wouldn't I?"
Without warning, Crowley leaned forward and gently bit his companion's ear. The angel gasped, but did not flinch. "Scoundrel," he managed, and the demon grinned.
"You seem to lose such convictions with my tongue inside your ear."
