Last week, I sort of over-booked. I saw Van Halen at the Honda Theater in Anaheim with Matt
xxtapemakerxx on Tuesday, New Edition at the Civic Theater in San Diego with Thomas
franken_bear on Thursday, the Indigo Girls at the Wiltern in Los Angeles with Matt, and finally, Father's Day on Sunday. Sunday night, I was completely exhausted. I had a great time, but I'm happy about having a normal week this week.
While I was up in Anaheim, Matt and I passed through California Adventure to see the new rides and facades. Cars Land was about to open, so we didn't get to see everything, but we did see quite a few things.
The old metal sun at the center of the park was replaced with a beautiful fountain and a replica of the theater that Snow White debuted in. I think they will actually be playing the movie inside all day, every day.
We caught a peek of the Tow Mater ride. Whatever.
What I really liked was that they planted trees everywhere. This will make the park entrance much more inviting, especially on hot summer days. The original entrance severely lacked shade. I do miss the Golden Gate Bridge replica, though.
I can't wait to check out Cars Land. So far, I've unanimously heard that it's great. Might need to play hooky one day and check it out.
