I watched my first Tyler Perry movie. And I liked it. (Plus, OMGJANET)
Last night, while tidying up my room and doing some computer stuff, I pulled up Why Did I Get Married, Too on Netflix streaming.
I had heard that Tyler Perry movies, though very popular, are really bad. And further, I heard that this one was particularly awful. I wouldn't say it was great. In fact, it was extremely uneven. It jumps from comedy to mega-extreme drama at the drop of a hat, and some of the dialog sounds like George Lucas wrote it.
But something about it resonated with me. I guess parts of the film reminded me of my last relationship and why it ended. It was a little cathartic.
Janet Jackson is in the film, and she stole the show. Then, hey, she sang a new song during the credits. Yay!
