Turn my water into wine

I've been working on Jesus Christ Superstar for over a week now and even though I really don't like the show, the music is beginning to grow on me. I guess it's good that I'm starting to like it because it's getting stuck in my head. It's a pretty enjoyable experience, for the most part.

For those of you that haven't heard, I spent 11 hours at the E.R. last Thursday and never got in to see a doctor... we left because we thought 11 hours was too long to sit there and not even get an idea of how much longer I'd be waiting. Besides, I had work in the morning and needed sleep. I was in there because I blacked out a few times in the past few weeks and have been having something that feels like a panic attack, but without any kind of inciting incident. Given that I have a prior heart condition and that could be a likely source of the problem, we've decided (my family and I) that I have to quit smoking and that they have to quit with me. As of March 13th or 14th (we haven't decided which yet) I will no longer be a smoker....

Speaking of mid-march, my birthday is 12 days away. It should be a good time. I will surround myself with music, alcohol, and friends (though not necessarily in that order). I don't know what exactly I'm doing yet, other than I've had a few friends suggesting different things all at once. Bethani said she'd be my DD that day and take me around to whatever it is I did, but I don't know if that's still the case.

Things are constantly changing around me... I've made a few decisions lately that I hope will improve my life, but only time will tell. For the most part, everyone I've talked to about it agrees that I've done the right thing and I just have to wait now and see if it's true. At the very least, I'm happy with my choices 99% of the time. I do regret it in fleeting moments, but I've taken steps to make sure I can't act on that regret. I've spent tons of time with Jamie Dude, Marie, Cody, Randerson, and Nick lately.... being able to just hang out and forget about my problems has been a life saver. This Saturday I'm hanging out with that crew plus Andy, Galen, and some others while Andy, Galen, and myself showcase some of the tunes we've written and get some feedback. I look forward to that....

Anyway, I'm going to get ready for class, but anyone who wants to talk or hangout soon is welcome to call me. My schedule is packed, but if you're flexible about when we're doing something, I'll find a way to make time for you.
