Rewards? PSSH!

While I was home, I received a letter from U.S. Bank stating that my rewards had arrived. Thinking that this may be some awesome cash back kind of deal, I opened it to find a coupon for five dollars off a purchase at Dollar General if I use my U.S. Bank Visa card.

Ugh, I need a new bank that doesn't treat me like a tool for giving them my money.

FYI, USB changed its policy on the cashback rewards. They used to deposit it in your checking account every year. Now you have to claim them online via Internet Banking, and it credits directly to your ckg acct. Took me a while to catch onto that -- thanks, USB, for keeping your customers up to speed! (There's a link to the rewards in the left-hand toolbar when you sign into your account; it isn't very prominent.)
