Norman Hansen

Age 83, of Burdett, NY, passed away peacefully at home on December 2, 2007.

Norman was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 28, 1924 and lived in Baldwin, LI for 40 years. He volunteered his service as an Assistant Scoutmaster in Baldwin and was awarded the Order of the Arrow. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He and his wife retired to Burdett in 1989.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edith; five children, daughters Jane (Fred) Jurnove, of Long Beach, LI, Alice and Betty Hansen, of Burdett; and Kristina (Matt) Pulis, of Burdett; and son Robert (Karen) Hansen, of Burdett; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Diane) Jurnove, Jeanne (Jason) Paulaski, Daniel (Erin) Jurnove, Eric and Jeffrey Hansen, and Sam and Hannah Pulis; and two great-grandchildren, Caitlin Jurnove and Jacob Paulaski. He was predeceased by his parents, Selmer and Ella Hansen; a sister, Dagmar Boell; and a grandson, Andrew Jurnove.
