"i shot a star with my shotgun and all i got was a broken heart"
"over the mountain and we're home free" every time you looked at me you voice sang an identical tune. today, in midriff, the stars started to fall on us. i used to look down and see your hand on my cane, we pushed upward striving for the best and everyone looked our way.
the newspaper captured it all. as you fell from the cliff and the rocks became your God, i could only smile.
why did you glare at me like that was my fault?
the crowd was gasping when i finally made it over, alone in the cold with only my snicker to show life.
gazing at your body the crowd said it was over, "a fall that far and surely she'll break." there's no comming back william, it just wouldnt be the same.
Jax looked at me and yelled "WILLIAM, IM SORRY, FOR SERIOUS WE THOUGHT YOU KNEW, THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR GLORY, SHE WOULD LEAVE YOU."
ill bring back your fallen snow
when the story is told right, the audience will cry. our love was an accessory. so you can hit the flash and get the comments. im sorry but today we just dont match. your cashmere scarf went so well with your eyes. you swore you would never take it off, a symbol of our love, what else could we do but bury you with it? tied from a post, alone in the dark, your mouth fell open and your eyes, OH your beautiful eyes, swelled and cracked as the nighttime passed.
they found you with one arm grasping your beautiful scarf, and another grasping for my footprints left in the snow. your accessory is gone, and im sorry i didnt match, but your face never looked so pretty wrapped up with your beautiful, beautiful, cashmere scarf.
