(no subject)
well my summer plans have gone a bit off course. as planned, i went to becket, which was extremely fun. but insteeeead of having meadowbrook riding camp for two weeks it was completely cancled after the second day because they had to evacuate the horses due to flooding. part of me is glad because i did NOT like my fellow campers, but i am also upset because i really really really wanted to ride everyday for several hours for two weeks. instead, i've been occupying myself through other means. i've been reading, bumming around, watching tv/movies and hanging out with friends. on the plus side i get to see adams before he leaves.
BOOKS:so i've finished wuthering heights (excellent) and the perks of being a wallflower (also excellent) and now i'm tackling great expectations.
MOVIES: (in theaters): click (bad) and the devil wears prada (good). on tv, i've watched several old movies including gone with the wind, Waterloo bridge, Yellowstone (gosh i think that is what it was called), etc.
Uh yesterday i bought new show clothes and went to a crab fest in maryland which was hosted at my grandma's friend's son's house. they live in a huge mansion! the whole neighborhood is like that. well anyways the whole family was there and i was bored out of my mind but the food was pretty good (although i did not indeed have any crabs).
So i guess this week i'll just relax, its so nice in the summer to relax and not worry about anything. I'm glad i'm going to camp soon though because i miss my camp friends terribly and i love my parents but i've had a bit of an overdose. well happy 4th of July, all (that is tomororw, right? yes, yes it is).
