A bunch of doodles out here

I wanted to post for a long while but didn't have that much free time this week. It becomes hard to focus lately.

Last time quonit advised more convenient file-hosting sites, specifically File Garden and Postimages, which are exactly what I've been looking for! Why didn't the browser present them to me?! XD Anyway, I'm very grateful for such a big help and I'll keep using those from now on.

I think I should write down here some of my thoughts but I'm not sure what to say. |D I like it when people can ramble about their interests and be open about it but I have a hard time of doing it myself. Feels like I've got plenty of things to say but really struggle to speak out loud. I become a bit anxious whenever I get noticed, though all of the people I spoke so far have been really friendly and welcoming and that's very surprising to me. |3  It's great to be able to chat with such wonderful people online. I'm starting to get out of my sociophobic shell and it's both exciting and scary, haha.

Now to the sketches:

I numbered these cups because it seems like they got progressively better. The first one looks pretty odd and the third and fourth seem decent enough.

Something that looks like a car at the top. The bottom one was an exercise where a simple shape becomes more complex every time you redraw it.

I remember how someone described imagining a 'cylinder around a foot' when drawing shoes. I guess these doodles kind of look like shoes? The order I drew them in goes from bottom right to top, good job, me.

A couple of exercises to adjust drawing on a graphic tablet. At the top left I needed to place several dots and connect them with straight lines but then I thought "hey, this kind of looks like an umbrella" but after I outlined it didn't seem that similar anymore, haha. I drew a more proper umbrella under it. There's also a bouncing ball which looks like animation practice.

First time drawing heads from different angles, they don't seem impressed just like me, lol. And the rest is three dimensional shapes.

HUMAN FIGURES all of a sudden, lol. I've put too little pressure on the stylus so it has come out very light. The sketch of anime protagonist on the right surprised me with how well it came out. (a screenshot of Shoya Ishida from The Silent Voice was used for reference if anyone's curious) At least it seems like I'm good at copying other art. |D

After that I found this tutorial on drawing organic forms and cross-contour lines and it got me in a groove. This is where drawing got so easy and fun that I completed several pages of sketches in a row:

funky worms and peanuts

pretty sketchy

snake cylinders

These actually resemble tree braches and look pretty natural! I'd say this is my favorite drawing from this entry.

And that's it! I think I've made some progress. I'll keep drawing and will return to make another post... well, someday, definitely.
