Glad to know you are doing well and sound very good. But yes, that is my question too, what is this business you speak of?

Actually, all those things are things I want to happen and putting them in the present tense just makes them more likely to happen. It puts my head in the right place. And my business is helping families become financially independent. You can check it out more here.

I am so sorry heather, but Primerica is well...an mlm. I know people who have gotten burned by various offices. but if your office is good and you are able to hack it, more power to you :) Just dont try to recruit me:)

That and "The Secret" Im sorry, but did I really wish the debilitating triple whammy of BiPolar Disorder, OCD and BPD down on to me? I am simply not crazy about it, and It is a thing many MLMs use to keep people rah rah...or "Drinking the pink kool aid" as they say on PinkTruth.

I still adore you, but i am seriously concerned.

Considering both have worked wonders for me and continue to do so, Ariella, I'm not concerned.

Okay. If primerica works for you, great. I know that there are folks with a knack for financial planning that tend to do well with primerica. It is far more work than they let on. But i know you work hard so perhaps you can buck the odds.

But I still have a bone to pick about the secret. according to their principles, I broght BiPolar disorder down on me, and jason wished to be epileptic.... That is BS.

Not that you wished to be these things, just that you focus on the negative and so negative things happen. Even saying, "I do NOT want such and such to occur" means you're focusing on that such and such rather than what you DO want.

Besides, we're Jews. Our foundations of belief are built on the idea that we are responsible for everything good and bad that happens to us. Hence Jewish guilt. ;)

You know that old Jewish saying. Anything good that hasn't happened has not occurred because it was either not prayed for or not prayed for hard enough.

I beleive that. I think my recovery is going to take (In order of importance) deep belief, extensive therapy, Meds, Yoga and herbs.

Jase was a bit simpler. Prayer, a better diet and meds.

I just dont feel the tone of the book, but i do think praying for thisgns gives one the power to go out there and grab it.

As my shrink says, you need to want to get better. Some days i want to just stop taking the meds, skip support group, and the yucky, yucky herb drops and simply fuckitall. but I simply cannot afford it:)

It is not just the praying, which is a huge help, it is beating every bush, stomping the pavement and shaking every tree until you get what you need.

That's all the book is really saying. It just explains /why/ prayer, meditation, etc. work. Not that you don't need medication and physical help as well, just that the formerly inexplicable, intangible factor is really simply based on a Law of the Universe. Any physicist can tell you about the Law of Attraction. Why wouldn't it apply to the spiritual as much as the physical, you know?
