I hit the TRIFECTA!
Of freaking Natural Disasters. Seriously. 2 weeks ago was the earthquake centered 88 miles S-SW of DC but still felt up here. Last Sunday was Irene and then the historic (and I mean major historic several feet over records set in 1914!!!) flooding that has finally receded and left the areas here to deal with the damage and chaos and loss of that... to now have a freaking tornado touch down 8 miles from my parents and knock out power for the 2nd Sunday in a row... All that practice during the week made response time crazy fast cause we had it back in just over an hour.
Thank god we've had quick power restoration... my parents are on a well and without power we have no water... which means of course no bathrooms!
Other than that, life is what it is. Work is still what it always has been, but there is some foretelling of change to come and who knows if that is good or bad.
Anyone on the Flist watching Necessary Roughness on USA Network? New FFKOAH! Nico! I even committed fic as evidenced by my post earlier today.
