Gotta Work on Myself
I had a good session today w one of the big shots in personnel for Stop and Shop today. He had a meeting in Freetown so he stopped by my store today. Gave me some feedback about improving my assertiveness and interviewing skills in order to build self-confidence. He could see that although my marketing was great on paper, my delivery just wasn't quite there. In order to go forward with a job offer, I need to make these improvements first. With my background and education skills, I should be a shoe-in for advancement and a better job within the company......but first I need to further develop some personal qualities.....
Whoa, this is gonna be some heavy shit to work on....but when I'm ready, he'll put me to the test with a mock interview.
Here I go pluggin' away.
Other than that, not too much to report, life is boring where i live, nothing doing. I drive to work or home from work sometimes but other than that I still don't go too far. If I come in Boston during the day time or come down with my folks, we gotta make plans. I'll be sendin' people shout-outs....
