WOOOOOOOO, first night of Faustus was a raging success! The play went smoothly, the crowd was into it, and our director, John Basset, proposed to his girlfriend after the show. At the curtain call he came up and was giving out his thanks to everybody, then said, "I don't have much to offer, but Angela, will you marry me?" His girlfriend was in the front row and everybody was shocked. She said yes and came up on stage and as the two embraced, the theatre exploded into applause. It was one of those moments you only think happens in the movies, but I saw it with my own two eyes! It put everybody in a jolly good mood.
And if you didn't see it tonight, then COME SEE FAUSTUS TOMORROW!!! 7:30, Kline Theatre. And I don't think our director will be proposing again, but at least you'll enjoy the show.
Last week of classes? ........
