Well, here we are, the last day and last entry of this journal for 2006. I kind of had my year-end wrap-up post a couple days ago, so I'll just wish everyone a happy New Year. No matter how seemingly banal a year has seemed, there's always a sense of excitement of New Year's Eve for a year that could be better than the last one, one that fulfills, in some way, what you wanted out of it. I feel a strange giddy excitement, and if I've learned something this year, it's to never shut doors completely and to never rule anything out. Unless it's rape or murder or something. Come on guys, you know what I mean. Oh, here are my 10 favorite movies I saw in the theater this year (in no particular order):
