Memories.../Toho FiftyFo'/Dog's Best Man?!

Hey, it's September. It's September now. Jesus.

All the kids are back to school, and I'm still here at work. I definitely miss school, I must say. Maybe have three hours of class a day, eat a long leisurely lunch while reading the paper, walking around IC on a brisk fall night. Iowa City looks its best in the fall. With the black squirrels and what not. But school's over, so I have to work this dumb job right now. So live it up, assholes.

This week sees the release of Toho's two best movies of 1954: "Seven Samurai" (new three-disc Criterion version) and "Gojira", the orginal unedited inaugural Godzilla film without goddamn Perry Mason fucking everything up. Even though I've liked Godzilla since I was four or five, I've never seen this uncut, so I'm excited to watch it. And the new "Seven Samurai" is super cleaned up and has loads of extras. Yeah, I know nobody cares but me and maybe Matt, but DEAL WITH IT.

BP has finally found a rehearsal space. And we have a show this coming Wednesday at The Picador (formerly Gabe's Oasis), so you Iowa City kids had better be there. Or at least come, pay the admission and then leave to shop at Ragstock or something.

And finally...

....what?
