Farewell

Farewell, farewell my friend
I say with pain
Farewell, farewell my friend
In sunshine or in rain
One day, one day
I know we’ll see again ...

I've been in farewell parties for friends, a couple of times was hard but most of the time not as hard. Maybe in that most of the time, I was emotionally ready to part with them, maybe because there are strong possibilities for me to meet them again in the future or.. not..., but sometimes I merely just came for the party. I gotta admit thought that there are a few times that I couldn't help to shed tears for the going away good friends. I've never realized until two weeks ago that parting with good friends could be really hard for the person who's leaving as well.

For me leaving good friends who are near and dear in my heart was very hard. The moment I received their extended wishes and souvenirs of their friendship for me to keep was so hard to bear. I was trying to take a firm control of myself but the tears just burst out and caught me unguard. Now I'm looking back to those farewells I had, I'm glad I had those moments with friends and I'll keep those memories live forever in a special place in my heart.

With friends in Bartlett, IL, I was glad Keith and I could had the first and the last trick or treating with them on Halloween night. A week after that, Keith had his last joint birthday celebration with Joseph and Joshua. I also had a little surprise farewell moments with Santi and Janti. On that weekend, Novita and Fely arranged a farewell dinner for me at Cafe Iberico (click here for pics, courtesy of Dian Dogan). There was no tender moments that night but I thought I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard that night. I was so happy to see everybody that came that night. On Tuesday, I went to Asian Noodles with Santi, Aisyah, Arfa and Jenny. It was hard to say good bye to Santi and the kids that afternoon. Last weekend, was the finale of all the farewell parties. We went for a dinner at Cafe Iberico and walked to Club 720 right after that. Everybody was so sweet and made the efforts to make that night so special for me. I could never forget that. I had a blast that night and I definitely will miss everybody there (click here for pics, courtesy of Ade Echizenya).

I will always cherish the good memory of my life in Chicago and friendship with all of my good friends. Take care, be well my friends... let's hope that one day, ... some where on the beautiful corner of the world,... our paths are destined to collide once again (if not, just don't forget that you will always be welcome to visit and stay with me and my family ;)... )

chicago, farewell
