After not sleeping Friday night, I headed uptown to go to Curiosa. We got there pretty early, and at first I was all excited and determined to see all the bands. no i know, i have LOVED fat paul ever since his incarnation as "pudgy paul" last year. i should have come, but i didn't have $60 OR any friends to go with.

yeah, i went alone because no one wanted to pay $60 but me. most of the people there seemed old and/or goth and there more for nostalgic purposes, so i guess thats why they were willing to pay so much money. even my dad showed up for the cure! i was so proud of him.

how was randall's island? how'd you get there?

randalls island was better than expected. there was a lot of grassy, open space to run about. and once it stopped being so insanely hot, it was nice to be outside. it got kind of dusty around the front of the 2nd stage though.

i took the 6 train to 125th and then from there, there were 2 buses (the x80 and x81 i think) that came pretty frequently and took everyone straight to the show. on the way back the buses were packed beyond belief though, so i walked the bridge.
