Look for a machine that is new enough to have a totally sealed bread pan, so you can multi-task! My Rival makes rice, jam, and pretzel and pasta dough - which is even better since my rice cooker died recently.
Fresh pasta dough is totally worth the effort in a bread machine, because you can make some crazy raviolis and just freeze the excess for use later. They boil up in 3 minutes just like any freezer section ravioli - but taste way better. You can even color the dough with food coloring and herbs to make it look ultra fancy.
