So I finally went back to my parents' house after being away at university for just over a month, to pick up my September/October loot!

Ta-da! Wow, Yuri, you had a huge box all to yourself :O I swear Flynn plush's box was much smaller...Oh well.

I'm focussing on one particular box today.

Boo, customs charge :(

The second volume of the Puella Magi Collection Box was released late September/early October by Bandai. The first set had all five Puella Magi, with the secret being epilogue!Homura with her red ribbon. This set has Godoka, Kyouko, and Moemura. And another Kyouko and Moemura. Not too creative there, were we, Bandai? I was hoping for some school uniforms...But I digress. I didn't buy the first set, and this is my first time purchasing a whole box of trading figures, so I was a little unsure what to expect.

Inside are six boxes - one of each figure, and the duplicate, which seems to always be Godoka (smart move, they know she'll be the most popular). Each figure is in several pieces inside (using secret!Homura for reference) and an instruction leaflet to show you where everything goes.

Godoka is complicated, of course (start from the base and work up!).

I'll begin with the star of the show, Ultimate Madoka.

Isn't she beautiful? I'm surprised at the level of detail on a mere trading figure. So many ruffles!

They didn't scrimp on the galaxy under her dress, either!

Next is Homura, who looks utterly adorable even whilst carrying a bomb in her hand!

Look at that adorable smile! Her frames are empty, sadly, but you can't tell unless you're pretty close. The back of her outfit is detailed, too, and the ribbons look like they're really moving as she poses.

Lastly, is Kyouko. I'm using the secret version which has her holding an apple.

Of course, being trading figures, they aren't without their faults. There are several marks on Godoka especially where paint has been scratched or transferred, and bleeds over details. Largely these areas are on the back of the figures, though, and aren't too conspicuous. Some of the seam lines are pretty ugly, but it's nothing that would ruin the figure.

And there is a problem with pieces not fitting together very well. Kyouko in particular has an awful seam on her arm and I cannot get it in any further than that :( I personally find those leg clips pretty ugly, but none of the girls fit onto the pegs well so the clip is needed to balance them.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with them, even after all the stress over the tracking updating wrong, and then having to pay customs on them, I'm happy that they are a part of my collection.
