So I'm officially employed at Taco Bell. There is a list of about a hundred rules ("no dangling earrings", "use up all the tomatoes before opening a new box", "the customer is always right", etc., all shit I've heard and learned a zillion times in my EIGHT YEARS of working food service) and a list of about a hundred different menu items (and their ingredients, by weight: 1.6 oz of beef, .75 oz of sour cream, etc.) I have to memorize in the next two weeks. Awesome! >_< I want to shoot myself.
I'm expecting to hear from Wendy's people any minute now (my grandma knows the people who own all 3 franchises here in Athens, plus the new Donato's) and I'd rather probably work there because A) I already know all the variations on a hamburger (thanks, Dairy Queen/Shriver Food Court!) and B) there's a chance I'd get paid more. Basically I'm trying really hard not to hate my life completely.
I have orientation next week on Thursday and Friday, a grand total of nine hours to tell me everything I need to know about the next two years of my life. I can't wait! >_<
Anyway. It's raining here and that's not helping anyone's mood. I'm just trying to get through, and preparing myself to work my ass off so that I can get the fuck out of this hellhole as quickly as possible.
That is all and everything.
