47 Days to go!
47 days to go till our big day and OMG..... I'm so excited!! We've been making progress recently in getting things done, and we're getting for the landslide into the week of our wedding. Here's my 6 week update; not dial-up friendly.
I've had my dress bought for 2 months now, and I go in for a fitting in early April (which I still need to schedule, thinking back on it now). It is absolutely beautiful when it's bustled, and I cannot wait to see Dustin's face when he sees me in it. This picture is from the shop's website:
Since my bridesmaids are all from out of town, we decided a rental would be best. We're renting the girl's dresses from the same place as where I bought my dress. They're dress is this, only in black:
Dustin's grandfather left him a ring that his parents have given to me to use as his wedding ring. I'm so excited for him, as the ring fits handsomely (I don't have to get it refitted, wow!) and he' always loved the ring since he was a boy. The better part? Dustin doesn't know about his ring yet. Here is the ring he picked for me:
A little story about our wedding invitation. While I was still living in Salt Lake City, Dustin had taken some time on a Saturday to take pictures here in Boise late last May. He sent me one of his pictures, stating he hated the color, the settings he'd taken the picture at, etc.. I kept the picture in the email he sent me, and now I am so glad I did. The picture he hated became the background for our wedding invitations. Our invitation, made, written and printed by yours truly:
This is the inspiration for my bouquet I used when presenting my idea to our florist. In my bouquet, my roses and ribbons will be pink, instead of red. The bridesmaid's bouquets will be 3 pink roses and a smattering of daisies, our boutineers a single pink rose while the coursages will be similar to the bridesmaid's bouquets only much smaller. Our flower girl will have a crown of daisies for herself. Inspiration:
Here's the inspiration I've presented for my hair, something very simple, but elegant. I thought of wearing my hair up for the wedding, but Dustin begged and pleaded for me to wear it down. I made a compromise, and I don't want it in my face through the day. Hair inspiration:
