skydiving x2

On Saturday, May 29th, I tumbled out of an airplane. 3 cannonball flips forward. Holy shit. I wish I could put the feeling into words. But there are absolutely no words to describe the feeling of knowing that your life is at risk - literally - as you throw yourself out of an airplane and go into free fall for over a minute. Constant acceleration until terminal velocity hits at 15 seconds. And then you’re floating. Looking out onto the ground beneath you, the person strapped to you pointing out the ocean to the north and the runway you took off from moments ago beneath you. It’s quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.
There have been a lot of good things happening to me this year. So far, I like 2010. Far more than 2009. I like who I am this year. I like how I’ve grown. And I like how I’ve taken a stand about the people I choose to let in during this process. It’s nice to have finally found people that I can learn from as well as teach. And it’s definitely nice to have the money to help facilitate all of these amazing experiences.
