I am just guessing the spellings of the places

We are now in Phitsanaulok, which is fairly uninteresting. The train was obviously late, by about an hour and a half. Nice and comfy though and we were fed for free and it was mostly edible. The train seemed to stop for absolutly ages at each stop for no apparent reason. The distace covered today was only about 200miles, but it took nearly 8hours (probably about half of which was spent sitting at stations). There was also a gorgeous baby who kept grinning at me. He was lovely.

Tomorrow we are getting the bus to Sukotai which has cool temple ruins. I am so intenet on going there that I bought a postcard of part of the temple there in Chiang Mai. I'd seen the same image around a lot but didn't know where it actually was, but the postcard told me. We'll stay there one night and then move on to the next place, Ayutaya.

Only a few more days til I leave Thailand.

It's funny, taxi drivers and tuk tuk drivers, and men who work in hotels always offer to help me with my bag. I say it's ok but they insist. Then there is a moment when they lift my bag and I can see on their face instant regret! I don't even know what makes it so heavy, I guess the fabric must be lined with lead. Yes, that must be it.
