The Coolest Girls (& guys) meme

Jan 25, 2009 21:52

I got this idea from splendory . Basically it's a list of my 10 favorite female and male stars that I always admire no matter what. They can pretty much do no wrong as far as I'm concerned.

I tried my best to put them in order, but it was really hard!

females;

#10 Kristen Stewart

I haven't seen much that Kristen has been in, but she's seems like a great acrtress in the making. She's very laid back and tends to shy away from the whole celebrity thing. Which makes it much easier for her to focus on her career. She seems very cool. At only 18, she's already got alot of films under her belt. I have no doubt in her abilities to be an amazing actress.
#9 Kristen Dunst

I had seen various films that Kirsten has been in, but didn't really become a fan until recently seeing her in Marie Antoinette
Amazing performance! It definately made me change my opinion.
#8 Rachel McAdams

Rachel became a favorite of mine after The Notebook. She was also great in Mean Girls. She seems to stay away from all the partying and really focus on her career and choices in films.
#7 Olivia Wilde

I became a fan of Olivia after watching her in The Black Donnelly's. Then she moved on to House. I think she's very talented and outspoken, not to mention gorgeous!
#6 Jennifer Aniston

I've been a Jennifer fan since Friends. She's one of the few that can transition from tv to film and actually be successful at it. I love a lot of the films she's done (Marley & Me is a recent fave!) Even with all the personal struggles, she's managed to handle them gracefully. Jennifer is just an amazing person!
#5 Anne Hathaway

I loved Anne in the Devil Wears Prada, and have been hearing so many good things about her performance in Rachel Getting Married. She fit the role of the teen princess then made the leaf into more grown up and dramatic films. Anne has a great deal of talent.
#4 Keira Knightley

I don't care what anyone says about her, I love Keira! She's such a gifted actress. I really enjoyed the whole Pirates trilogy. But Keira is much more versatile than that. She wisely chose to follow it up with a small independant film with a wonderful performance in Atonement. Keira tends to shine in period films, but I'm really looking forward to her first modern day role in a while with Last Night. She's amazing how she doesn't let anyone hold her down and follows her own rules.
#3 Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett is a favorite of mine for many reasons. First, she has an amazing body image, it's great to see someone curvy in the magazines. Second, she's still young but has already had so many great roles. Third, she isn't afraid to speak her mind and support what she believes in.
#2 Reese Witherspoon

I've been a Reese fan a very long time. She's so adorable but really likeable. She seems like a very grounded person. I love how she perfers to make comedies because they make people laugh. However, she can definately do drama, as proven in 2005's Walk the Line. She's also a very loving mother and smart business woman.
#1 Kate Winslet

It wasn't hard at all to list Kate as my #1. She's the best actress of her generation. She's had so many amazing roles that it's hard for me to choose my favorite. Again, another curvy girl who's absolutely gorgeous and not obsessed with body image. She is the epitome of class and grace. I love her acceptance speeches for both of her Golden Golbe wins. She was witty and genuinely suprised to win! It's great to see an actress who is truly greatful for all the praise. Her performance in Revolutionary Road is unforgettable.

males;

#10 Seth Rogen

Seth seems like such a fun guy. He's an unlikely leading man, but makes it work. I've seen a lot of the films he's been in, as well as 1999 Freaks and Geeks. He always makes me laugh. As well as acting, he's also a very talented writer.
#9 Henry Cavill

Henry's star is on the rise. I believe after The Tudors, he will have no problem finding movie roles. He gives an amazing performance as Charles Brandon, you don't know whether to love or hate him!
#8 Ryan Gosling

I think there are many more great things to come from Ryan. He's a very intense actor and is passionate about what he does. I love how he gives the role all he's got and becomes the character. He can get a lot across with very few words, as in Lars and the Real Girl, which is a favorite of mine!
#7 Hugh Laurie

Hugh portrays one of the greatest television characters in House. He's gives him the perfect mix of intelligence, wit, sarcasm and hilarity. You never know what to expect!
#6 Jonathan Rhys Meyers

I had enjoyed watching Jonathan in Match Point and August Rush. However, I think his best performance to date is that of King Henry VIII in The Tudors. He's intense yet able to be very charming.
#5 Robert Pattinson

Rob is so amazing because he's acting not to be famous but because he truly enjoys it. He doesn't enjoy the celebrity aspect and is really laid back, often times quirky. He's also a very talented writer and singer. His voice is amazing. The best thing about him is that he's very humble.
#4 Cam Gigandet

For only making a few films so far, Cam has undoubtedly left an impression on many. He's terrific at playing the bad guy, he actually perfers it. I always think it's much harder to make the bad guy memorable, Cam is able to accomplish that. I look forward to seeing his career grow.
#3 Leonardo DiCaprio

Leo has always been a great actor. He's given so many amazing performances. It's hard to choose his best or most memorable performance, they're all great. He just keeps giving great performances.
#2 Johnny Depp

Johnny is incedibly cool and very talented. At 45 years old, he still is one of the most gorgeous men on the planet. My favorite performance is without a doubt that of Captain Jack Sparrow. Such a fun character that Johnny played flawlessly.
#1 James Franco

James is of course my #1. He gives the most to every role he takes on. He's capable of being intense and dramatic then flawlessly shifting to hilariously funny. He's also incredibly intelligent, choosing to go back to college, something I greatly admire. I think that James is highly underrated, he deserves far more recongnition than he gets.
