hey, not all cyberpunk sucks;
I'm actually enjoyed (and am kinda intrigued by) Snowcrash. And am getting sleepy. Which is just great since it's almost 11 and I told Krystal I'd go out with her (and Bennie and Noam) if they were doing anything. But, almost 300 pages into this book...oy, makes me wanna sleep for a while even though it's really good. Here's a line:
"...is it a virus, a drug, or a religion?"
"What's the difference?"
This was the point I just went huh and started ponbdering and now, well...here I am.
And we have psycho bikers riding around with a nuke in a side car that will go off if they're killed, The Library of Congress has merged with the CIA (really), people are using billion and trillion dollar bills as toilet paper, and there are 'Sacrifice Zones' which are areas that are so messed up that they won't be fixed cause it's not worth it. Oh, and if your pizza arrives 1 second late? The delivery guy gets killed cause the pizza delivery place is run by the mafia. And delivery guys go to University for 4 years...and here I'm just a Zoology major. And enough biblical references, historical and religious...and Sumerian to make me wish that I knew a bit more...especially the Jewish stuff. Jeez.
Time to read my Nora Roberts and try and get the energy to go out if anything's going on. Hopefully I'll be taking a rain check on this one cause I'm not in the mood any more, but I would like to go hang out, lol
