English Poem

There was once a child
Who ran and played and laughed
Not a care in the world
Cept for getting in one more laugh for the day.
Remember when we were once this child?
I do.
(thinking about getting ride of I and trying to keep it third person)

As the years crept by
The laughs, the fun, the complete sense of innocence
Began to fade away
Dwindling friendships were
Replaced by guilt, responsibility and loneliness,
Merely for another candle on the cake.

Don’t you wish there was a place
A place where one could make the old times new.
A place to talk to your old sweetheart once more.
A place to have your old friendship born anew.
If only such a place existed it would surely be paradise

The cold reality of it is that such a place does not exist
We are forever damned to never repeat what once was
To live our mortal life with only memories to comfort us at night
We are one brother
My fellow outcast.
