Update from the road
First, I have to say that I am really enjoying my cellular internet connection.
Second, the reason I'm on the road isn't all that happy. I took Monday off of work because the kids had the day off of school, and I was in desperate need of a break from my 50+ hour work weeks lately. Late Monday morning I was sitting down to a fun lunch with Justin when my phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, but something told me I should answer it. It was John's sister with news that his grandmother had just passed away.
John's aunt had called last week and said that she wasn't doing well, that we should try to come down soon, but didn't stress just how dire the situation was, only that she wasn't 'well'. Apparently she had a kidney infection, and her systems essentially just shut down.
So, we are on our way to Mississippi today. We should get about 2:00 in the morning. We had a few things to take care of this morning (take the dog to the boarder, Justin had a dental appointment) and we didn't leave until about 10am, so here it is 6:00pm and we're only in Knoxville, a good 7 hours away. :(
