Emily: Bagel.
Me: Bagel.
Alex: Bagel.
Evan: It appears we have a consensus at the copy desk. Why bagel?
Alex: It's harder.
Me: It's like the soul of the Jewish people ... hard on the outside, but, um, squooshy on the inside.
Evan: Indeed, it is the chosen baked good. *eats bagel*
