There's something I forgot to mention about the dentist that peeved me off a bit.
While the dental hygienist and I were waiting for the dentist to wrap up with another patient and come look at my teeth, I ended up getting blindsided with a sales pitch for a $200 Crest electric toothbrush, and gave me a coupon for $30 off my purchase of said item.
Crest gives them a stack of coupons and free toothbrushes for everyone who works there, and all they have to do is make sure to pitch the product to everyone that walks in there to get their teeth taken care of.
No matter where yo go, someone is trying to sell you something.
Fucking disgusting.
In other news from this wonderful dystopia, I picked up the paper and read about it being the one year anniversary of a married couple and their young son murdered in their home by a 14 year old girl and her 20-something boyfriend.
They omitted the fact that the teen girl was the murdered family's DAUGHTER.
Kind of an important point. Not putting in that vital detail wasn't an error on their part. The way the article was written, it was done on purpose. My eye is trained for journalism structure, and where that fact was supposed to be.
If the Fourth Estate has been compromised, then this does not bode well for democracy.
