I profoundly dislike how it has become a radical political statement to simply say: 'Be kind'.

I had a conversation today with somebody who had repossessed a house and taken possession of all of the previous tennants belongings.

And amongst those belongings they found some silver coins that they thought might be valuable. And they had taken them, and wanted to get them valued to see how much they were worth now that they had them.

And I suggested it might be a kind thing to give those coins back to the person who was evicted, because they've just lost everything,a nd those coins almost certainly had sentimental value.

And a lot of people angrily disagreed with me on this.

It really does feel like we've gone back to primordial times where civility is some quaint novelty.

It does sort of go against the ideals if those who have more indivdually focussed political beliefs.

ETA did I really just write that. What a long winded way to say "bastards".
