...for another edition of "What I've been Digging On!". This is a regular feature here on the journal where I link to mp3s of songs that have greatly caught my interest lately. I do this to share with you all things I love, and hope it gives you some insight into my brain.
Fist off, we have the EPIC that is Weird Al's "Albuquerque". This song is roughly 12 minutes of AMAZING. Funniest song you will ever hear, I promise. Especially if you appreciate entirely silly and random humor.
Weird Al - Alburquerque Next up is a song my friend Russel showed me. Kanye West shows his inner nerd again with the song "Stronger" which sampled some Daft Punk for it's sound. The combination works and has a definate awesome feel to it. The video is also incredibly nerdy, but in equally subtle ways.
Kanye West - Stronger During our AX trip, I realized how much I ADORE Ichigo's theme from Bleach. The song is pure fucking cheese and it's fantastic. It's a terrible song, but I can't stop listening to it. It's entertainment value has yet to wane.
Hazel Fernandes - Number One (vocal version) Fourth on the list is Japan's next big thing, the incredibly talented and fun Beat Crusaders. Ignoring the silly dot matrix print out face thing, they actually have a really legitimately entertaining sound and can really bring home the rock. They are not unlike their American counterparts, Weezer, in sound. Yet they still manage to sound unique in a country that is notorious for copy cats.
Beat Crusaders - Super Ko Rider Keeping up with my j-hiphop kick, here's the two mc/one dj team of Home Made Kazoku. Many people out there know them better for the songs they have done for various anime, namley Bleach and Naruto as well as Eureka 7. Their songs have a somewhat uplifting feel to them for the most part, something uncommon in the genre of hiphop. The effect is excellent, and the songs are hella catchy because of it
