Listen kids, "FUN" doesn't pay the bills. Just because the attendees liked a con, does not mean it was a success. Yes, all that really does matter, in the end, is the bottom line. If your convention doesn't turn a profit, or even worse ends in the red, it is not a success. No amount of "fun" had will make debt collectors go away.
