This is bad.
This is really, really bad.
John's alone in his house on the beach, collapsed in an armchair with his face in his hands, and he doesn't know what to do.
Someone, eventually, is gonna notice Schreber's gone. Maybe even Anna-- he knows she goes to talk to the doctor, sometimes. And she knows what John's temper is like, and she'll go to the police and tell them so, and . . .
He still has to keep running the city. Keep the machines going, keep everything running smoothly. It's gonna be a lot harder without Schreber. And even more difficult if he has to be running from the police again.
