[Simba has been lurking around Anna's room ever since his conversation with Jak, sort of like a vigilant guard. Only leaving to grab some grub before returning and waiting for some sign that Anna was out of the brig.

So for now, he's curled up in front of the door, watching and waiting.]

*Marco knew when Anna was sent to the brig, so it was pretty easy for him to guess when she'd get back. What he'd heard of the place wasn't nice, so he had a medium sized paper bag with him when he went to visit...filled with food, but one certainly couldn't see that.

Of the things he was prepared to see in the halls, a lion was not one of them. He stops a few feet away from the creature, blinking at it in confusion and perhaps a tiny bit of fear*

[Simba hears movement. His ears twitch and he turns to look at the source. Is that Jak? He gets up slowly, brow furrowed as he watches Marco for a minute. No idea. So he better play it safe. His lips curl to reveal his sharp teeth.]

*Marco takes a step back and otherwise freezes. Big, clearly unhappy, kitty; clearly not a tiger, so that wasn't Anna but...why was there a lion on the ship?

He grits his teeth, and doesn't really sound very friendly*

...nice kitty. I'm not here to fight with you.

[If Simba hadn't switched to Guardian mode, he might've would have realized Jak and Marco's voices are different. Unfortunately, he's too focused on making sure his friend stays safe. He'll apologize later, Marco! Honest.]

*Wait, what?
He should probably be glad more people are willing to protect Anna, even after what happened, but right now there was a lion standing there that looked like it wanted to eat him. And Marco really didn't like cats... (he can't help but wonder if this one's a shapeshifter, too, though)*

Yes, I'm here to talk to Anna. I don't think that has anything to do with you.

It has everything to do with me. I've already told you. I'm not going to let you hurt her.

[If protecting her means he has to go to the brig, then so be it. Better talk fast, Marco. Simba's getting ready to pounce.]

Marco takes a step back, raising his hands in that 'i'm not armed' manner*

I'm not here to hurt her, I just want to talk to her. You've got me confused with someone else.

[What if he's lying? Hm. Simba doesn't want to take that chance. But he also doesn't want to attack the wrong guy. That'd get him in trouble for nothing and the RIGHT guy could get to Anna. After a minute, he sighs. Though he still doesn't look happy, he does relax and sits down on his haunches.]

What's your name?

*Marco slowly puts his hands down once the lion sits back. He doesn't relax otherwise yet, though*

Marco. I'm a friend of Anna's.

[gonnabeamighty]

[Marco. So this wasn't the guy. Well that nasty snarl is gone! And he looks relieved. Marco you get a smile.]

*Is that lion...smiling at him? Marco didn't know cats could smile. But who knew with Disney's vaguely-furry things. He relaxes a bit, but not all the way, and watches Simba curiously*

I guess you're a friend of hers too, huh? Do you know if she's in?

If she is, she's being really quiet or sleeping. I've been here a while.

[He looks back over his shoulder at the door.]

Ah...I'll come back later, then. If she's sleeping she probably needs her rest.

*He, cautiously even though Simba's been friendly, steps closer to her door and puts the bag down beside it*

I got her some food. *All from the buffet and mostly meat, since she was a kitty in the brig so she might still be one* If she shows up before I get back, could you give it to her?

[Simba turns around and returns to his post next to Anna's door. He looks up at Marco.]

Maybe you can talk that Jak guy out of trying to hurt her. She attacked me too and it was an accident. I don't want to hurt him. But I'm gonna protect her.

*Marco furrows his brow a bit. Jak? Ah, the guy who wanted to know who hurt his friend...and the guy Phoenix suggested asking for help. He sighs*

Yeah, I'll try to talk to him. Thanks for letting me know.

*...he was really letting comm stalking go lately. That'd have to be remedied*

[Simba puts his head down, and even though he looks like he's not paying attention, his ears twitch while they listen for movement.]
