[He's watching you, Simba, from a little ways away. Totally stealthily. He's kind of concerned, but he's not sure if Simba's just doing his own thing or not.]
[You should be concerned, Link! Simba jumps down from his perch and trots over to the edge of the boat. He puts his front paws on the railing and seems to be staring intently. Not at the ping-pong game, but something else.
If you come closer, Link, you might even realize Simba is...talking...to the star? What?]
[Ooookay, that's not normal, is it? Hesitant, he edges closer to where Simba is. He's still debating making his presence known, but he's having a derp moment anyway: if Simba looks a little to his left, he may see a familiar spot of green near that nice perch of his.]
[Simba sounds almost pleading. He drops his head, shakes his mane and drops down to all fours again. He's about to leave, when he spots Link. Holy crap did he just hear that? Simba laughs awkwardly.]
[He sure did, Simba! Excuse him while he pretends this is NOT AWKWARD. He waves in return, but he still looks pretty concerned. If Simba doesn't say anything, he's going to ask what's wrong-- if he tries to change the subject LIKE USUAL, he'll let it go for now, so as to not be invasive.]
Simba hesitates. He's pretty sure Link's caught on, because yeah, he does always change the subject. Maybe he can say this in some vague terms that doesn't give too much away. Link is one of Simba's best friends. He can trust him.]
A long time ago, somebody told me that...the great kings of the past are up there. Watching over us.
[He casts his gaze up to indicate the stars. The he laughs again. It's so fake.]
[Link does not laugh. In fact, while his expression gains no mirth, he does look very curious and a little awed. He approaches the railing near Simba, staring up and IGNORING THE PONG for the dormant stars... he smiles a little, then; he can completely believe that, Simba. The look he gives his lion friend is not the one of somebody who thinks the idea is crazy.
His smile falters, however, when he wonders if the Hyrule King could be up there, too.]
He's brought out of his somewhat melancholic thoughts by Simba's question, and even though he's not sure what response Simba wants, he decides to be genuine about it. He shakes his head... really, he can't imagine any reason that would be crazy; it kinda makes sense, doesn't it? Grandma always said that when someone dies, they keep watch over you. So why can't that place be in the sky?]
Simba trots over to Link. He's purring quietly. Aww, Link. He knew there was a reason he liked you. Maybe one day, you'll get to hear the whole story outside of vague terms, if we can only get Simba to stop all this self-loathing.]
Daww Simba. He's kind of surprised that Simba is that pleased to hear he doesn't think it's dumb, but he's hardly going to complain. He smiles again warmly and gives Simba a nice big hug.
He'd like to hear that story someday, too. If Simba ever cuts that out. Except everyone knows that Link would cry when Mufasa dies.]

HEY LINK WANNA HAVE A SLUMBER PARTY?]
Can I stay with you tonight?
[He would invite Link to his room. But Simba's room isn't exactly presentable.]

He pulls away enough to nod enthusiastically, most of his concern pushed aside. He'd like to spend time with Simba again.]
