The Holocaust Museum of Israel

Well, I suppose it is time for the first of my brief reflections on what I experienced in Israel.

A painfully moving stop was the Holocaust Museum they have there. I remember from the time I was a little kid, being told that six million Jews were killed. Well, walking through, hearing the stories of the people who lost their families at the hands of a nation gone mad.

As I was walking through, I started to cry. I cried for the Jews who died. I cried for the Jews who survived. What sat with me, and kept me sad, is that we didn't learn the lesson. Everyone says that Mindless killing must stop, but it hasn't. I don't know what the current figure is, but at least 44,000,000 have died in the US alone in the last 40 years. People say "well, thats different" but I don't see it.

A brief trip to google showed me survivors and their stories.
