Despite all the planning , early notice and clear timelines repeated again and again
At last minutes, people will
a) Push the work all back to you
b) Shift the blame to you and say the timeline is ridiculous (when you gave ample time)
c) Says you do a lousy handover despite you provided everything to them in full details and timely fashion
c) Insist timelines should be flexible despite pressing deadlines and scarce timeslots available for long meetings with big bosses to change dates (then why have a timeline?)
Everybody consider's their delay minimal, yet one delay disrupts an entire chain of events - leading to failure of having something done due to involvement of many people's different time availability.
1 week to meet and decide on 5 nominees, 1 week to write 1 A4-page nominee background. What's so ridiculous about this timeline?
After i sent 101 emails, spent countless night not sleeping to ensure they are facilitated to get their work done in time, I end up with all the work thrown back at me, deadlines missed (with huge repercussions) and I have to do all the reports by myself to meet time frames (I am doing 5 person's work in one day, when they had 2 weeks to do it).
And yet, they have the cheek to blame it all on me. And I can't complain to the bosses (you know the vicious cycle of a hostile work environment).
I am so angry, so pissed, so powerless.
Angry.
