Happy.

I am happy.

And not just because I'm a newly-wed, or anything. I'm happy in spite of everything that's happened since we got home from our "honeymoon."

Our car apparently had a cracked exhaust which would cost about $800 to fix, but out little Wilbur didn't let on that anything was wrong until we'd returned home and could actually do anything about it (plus side #1). Then, the mechanic was able to weld it instead of replacing it, which can last up to a year or more (plus side #2). And, while it is still the kiss of death for our little piglet, it at least buys us some time to save more once I start teaching full time again, so we don't have to dig into the money we got as weddings gifts, which we have put aside to start an RRSP and an RDSP to borrow against for our first home (plus side #3).

So.

Happy, just like I said.

We have also made an appointment with a consultant (through our arthritis group) about RDSPs (because so far, only I have qualified), and with our bank to get a joint credit card account, so that I am not always in a constant state of panic and stress because every major purchase ends up on MY credit card.

Didn't I say Calvin was brilliant?
