Lome (Loh-may), Togo's captial city, is much like the other African cities I've visited - dirty, crowded, chaotic, hot and swarming with mopeds and mototaxis. Marzie and Livingstone I presume? Your accounts are analogous to 19th century travel diaries that seemed go so beyond any reality that westerners knew. Your 21st century accounts add an entirely new twist to the African imagery. This is truly compelling reading back here in the New World. Tay_tee.
