oh yeah thats right, total metamora girls track domination at conference!!! i think we won by like.....80 points or something, it was insane!! my 4x800 girlies get to go have fried chicken together, yaaaay! and bethany the machine mccoy ran a 4:55 mile.......goin so fast ya couldnt even see her! i know i couldnt see her, b/c i was so far behind her, haha!
i am now employed. yaaaaaaaay!!! camp of champions is my bag, i get to become a professional at teaching kids about God this summer. man, its going to be a good time. this is my first "real" job....so hopefully its an enlightening and growing experience. but no matter what, ill have more patience at the end of this summer than ever before!
i am soooooooo excited about our trip to acuna this summer! i can hardly wait for it to get here! of course, when it gets here that will mean the summer is more than half-over, so that is going to be sad.....but i really think its going to be an amazing experience. i just love how comfortable i feel with all the people that are going......i cant wait to see how we all grow and come back as different people, changed by God in the process. i cant wait to actually use my 4 years of spanish with the people down there, teach other people on our team spanish....hopefully play my guitar for worship a little bit. my guitar has really gained a special place in my heart lately.....i cant play really popular secular songs like a lot of people or bust out any awesome riffs......i mean come on, its a six string acoustic.....but i really love just being able to play worship songs....theyre really easy to sing and play at the same time....but i really want to play for people some time and have them be able to sing along easily and be able to worship, because i just think it would be so awesome to lead that kind of thing. i dunno thats just one of those dreams i never thought id be able to accomplish.....back in the day when i loved bobbi sue and her guitar-stylings at FCA freshman year.....that was the greatest ! that was when the madness all started b/c meggo widmer and i made a pact that we'd play together for FCA when we were seniors, and we'd rock just as much as bobbi sue did......well things changed a little bit.......i tried to teach myself guitar, it didnt work too well, about all i could do was play a few chords......then megs moved to IN :( and we all miss her immensely......so here its senior year and i havent played for FCA yet......but thanks to mom and todd adams my awesome guitar teacher who has taught me so much about playing songs and leading worship i bet i could play for FCA if i ever got the chance! i might never rock quite as much as bobbi sue......but shes one styling guitar player.
