well i took a trip this weekend, it was really spur of the moment. telf asked me to come on wednesday. i honestly thought about going but decided it would be too much trouble to plan on such short notice. then came thursday, i woke up did the work thing, came home ate and then left for the car dealership. my father has recently discovered that he ran his car into the ground. ive been telling him for the past year, but refused to believe me. we found a good one and are currently waiting on paper work to be completed. well on the ride home, i decided rather quickly that i would go to austin and that i would have a nice time there. i went to bed knowing i had an appointment early the next morning. while in bed i noticed that one of the nose pads on my brand new armani glasses had metal fatigue. i was hoping that id get by with them like that for the trip to austin, but as always i got really annoyed by it and decided that i would go into eyemasters the next morning, and see about getting them replaced.

friday morning i had to show a house. i woke up, shaved, showered, and dressed. i put my glasses on and the left nose pad broke off. so the aforementioned trip to eyemasters became more of a priority. i feared that my trip would be over before it even started. i went on my appointment wearing my old glasses. it reminded me of costanzas glasses. the house looked good enough but had obvious foundation damage. we parted ways and i was on my way to the mall. i was the first person through the door. i got new frames and was out within 10 minutes. i thought about buying new cologne but decided not, i wanted to save money for the trip. i got contracts ready, incase i needed to fax an offer. i left for austin later that day.

When i got there, penny and alex wanted to go to a "DELUXE CHINESE BUFFET". one thing ive learned over the years, that when something is labeled "deluxe" its usually the exact opposite. so i decided not to give that place a try, i had also already eaten at a bus stop. i had the chicken salad sandwich. it wasnt deluxe so i wasnt really dissapointed when i ate it. after the food we went to this AWEEESOMMMEEE beer store, where they have any variety of beer that you would ever want. i personally didnt care very much. i drink anything besides mickys. so i wasnt very impressed. alex and pennys band played later that night. it was good, it was the first time ive seen them play a show. we went to mags after the show and ate mud, its the greatest food in the world. i went to bed after that.

Saturday afternoon was pretty cool. we went over to the rag so i could search for some nike dunk cl jordans. i couldnt find them but i did see a whole bunch of dope ass shoes. it was so cold and rainy, it was awesome. i wore my new long banana republic coat. i felt real fly. we went to rubys/rudys? bbq. it was pretty good, but they didnt have bbq potatoes. we went back to alexs and watched some football. sab called me and invited us over to her house, so we left.

i went into heb and got a case of lonestar, i hadnt done that in a while. felt like i was home. we found her cross streets, but couldnt find her. i got out of the car and walked around the block. still couldnt find her car. i had to call dasha and holla at her about some directions. we found her place, she was cleaning. it was odd. i dont think id ever clean at night. then again, i dont entertain very many people in my room. her place was this awesome old house that got divided into apartments. she had wood floors and paintings and pictures all over the place. i hope ill have that much style when i move out. i dont think i will ever style like that. it was just us four at first and then the first round of guests arrived. i came upon someone from good old sugar land. we used to play shows together. i got the usual "where you from, oh youre from houston, im sorry" thing. but im proud so i just shook them haters off. i broke someones champagne glass. i felt bad about it. it was an interesting night to say the least. i met some cool people as i usually do while in austin.

i woke up this morning on alexs bathroom floor. i dont remember how i got there, i was confused at first, i felt like i was in a coffin. i felt around until i touched the toilet, and then found my glasses. we ordered pizza and i left in a hurry. i forgot my ticket, and had to come back. now im back here. good weekend. good times. i love it over there, but i still love it here.

later this week: my thoughts on prejudice.

martin.
